Implementation
Front line housing support workers are best placed to understand what will work with their clients. Generic group training materials always require changes, to ensure they reflect your local housing market and accomodate your clients attention and interest.
The free resources have been designed so that:
- They can take as long as you have. Each workshop consists of at least three twenty minute activities which you can use seperately or together as one session.
- They are easy to use. All our sessions we advertise include a full set of the training materials and appendixes you will need, we provide concise guidance on how to run the session, check the clients understand and sumarise learning.
- You can offer up to date handouts. Rather than give you handouts which date we recommend relevant webites and helplines for each of our workshops. When you prepare a section these websites will provide you with up to date handouts for your learners to keep.
- You can record your progress. All of our sessions are structured under Supporting Peoples Outcomes Framework and can be reported to local commissioners as examples of meaningful engagement
To help your programme succeed we:
- Recommend you attend our training. Our two day Train the Trainer course is designed to help you identify appropriate training materials for your clients, learn how to challenge difficult behaviour and practice delivering sessions with your peers to gain confidence in your delivery.
The thing that sticks in my mind was the feeling after my first session, I thought I would just feel relieved but I really loved it.
